PiP is a family and dog friendly café with a separate meeting room in the heart of a beautiful park called ‘The Great Field’ Poundbury, Dorchester. There is a mile long walking, running or cycling track around the field, which is planted with wild flower meadows, over 500 trees, an outside gym and play equipment, the perfect destination for families, friends, exercise lovers, visitors and local residents of Dorchester and Poundbury.
Open every day – Mondays 9.30 – 3pm
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am – 4pm ( 5pm in the summer )
Fridays 9am – 4.30pm ( 5pm in the summer )
Saturdays 8.30am – 4.30pm ( 5pm in the summer )
Sundays 9.30am – 4pm
We serve hot and cold drinks, ice creams, hot soup and dishes of the day, homemade cakes and bakes.

Whether for a club, organisation or business meeting, our versatile meeting room sits up to 16 comfortably and has full facilities for making presentations and is WiFi enabled.

PiPs café is run by the trading arm of the youth charity The Talk About Trust with any profits generated supporting its work.

The café and community room walls feature art work for sale by local residents or under 25 year olds. Please email helena@alcoholeducationtrust.org if you’d like to exhibit.

We operate a wonderful book swap from the café – bring a book to swap for a new read, or just pop a donation into our charity box if you fancy taking one home!
We have an amazing range to choose from, thanks to the kind people who have bought in books for us.

The outside disabled toilets were ideal and the young staff were very patient with us while we were ordering our lunches. We both had the lasagne and salad which we thoroughly enjoyed.
