OUR SUPPLIERS

LOCAL FOOD LINK
Local food links was established in 1999 by the West Dorset Food and Land Trust, to run Farmer’s Markets and other food initiatives, including Bridport Food Festival, the Grow It, Cook It, Eat It Project, cookery workshops and an NVQ training in Catering for young people.
They also set up a hot meals service for schools and nurseries operating from the kitchen of the Centre for Local Food. This was a major evolution in school meal catering. Their kitchens in Bridport and Weymouth provide freshly prepared meals daily.

CRAIG’S DAIRY
Craig’s diary is one of the few remaining traditionally family run, free range dairy farms in Dorset. Located in Osmington on the spectacular Jurassic Coast. The 300 acre farm ensures they are self-sufficient to feed their 130 homebred out door British Friesian and Ayrshire cows  throughout the year. Craig’s supply us with their milk and home produced clotted cream and ice cream as well as Ford Farm ( Litton Cheney) cheeses.

BOMO ROAST
Our carefully selected coffee and naturally decaffeinated coffee comes from Dorset based Bomo roast.  Laith and Paul, set up Bomo over 10 years ago. They source their beans directly from Italy and have them hand roasted by a small family roaster in Sicily as well as working with a UK roaster to perfect a smooth, balanced coffee with some lighter, more subtle notes.

Our choice (trade secret!) is an award-winning blend, with lots of delicious arabica, and is a lovely rich warming coffee. This is a classic balanced Tuscan blend with plenty of caramel character coming though. An all-round winner. Our decaff is naturally decaffeinated using C02, most use a chemical process.

DEBBIE JACKSON
Our lovely cake maker (along with PiP staff or course!) is Debbie, who founded Bonjour café on Poundbury. Debbie cooks her delicious recipes (including vegan and gluten free) from scratch at home and brings them to us twice a week.

CLIPPER TEAS
Not many people know that Clipper teas are made close by in Beaminster and employ 400 local people. Better still they are organic, plastic free and fair trade!
